U.S. and South Korean airmen will conduct a joint exercise next week aimed at exchanging ideas on air operations and improving interoperability between the two forces, the U.S. 7th Air Force in Osan said Thursday.
The "Buddy Wing" exercise will be held at Osan Air Base from Dec. 16 to 18, it said in a news release.
U.S.F-16 aircraft and Korea's KF-16s will engage in strike coordination and reconnaissance exercises after participating in meetings and training together, it said.
"Buddy Wing exercises and exchange programs are important to the readiness of the U.S. Air Force and ROK Air Force in order to ensure battle-readiness and training for combined air operations," it said.
