Image Fwd: picture of amity and peace

'picture of amity and peace'

The image was thankfully sent from a Japanese friend who wishes for the peace in the Palestine and Israel, on Dec. 26, 2009. Thought to be good to share.

“Attached is a scanned image of the old postal stamp I have kept
since 30 years ago, when I had a male Jew correspondent in Israel.
Around that time, there was an integrated education at some kind of
educational facility somewhere in Israel or Palestine
for children of Jews and Palestinians in the same classrooms.
I don't know that kind of education still exists but I hope so.
In the stamp, a Jew in black and an Arab in a traditional clothing
and a modern Jew? and the children of respective tribes stand in amity.”

Otherwise, Ten Thousand Things blog has uploaded the beautiful letter by the Palestinian Christians and work by an artist, Lydia Venieri on the Israeli & US phosphorus bombings of Gaza & Iraq. Good to share with all as well.

For the Japanese friend's solidarity call for GAZA peace march, please see HERE. The International Action Center has also called for the solidarity march.
