Peace Rallies in South Korea
Whereas the images of military machinery and war preparations predominate the world's attention on the crisis in the Korean Penisula, voices for a peaceful resolution are growing in South Korea. The above photo shows leaders of opposition parties and NGOs who are holding signs that say "Resolve through dialogue" at the "Emergency Meeting for Peace in the Korean Peninsula."

More than 3000 citizens gathered at on outdoor candlelight vigil for peace in Seoul.
