[Jeju Update] Snowy Gangjeong, Jeju Island

The planned peace rally on Jan. 15 was cancelled because of a big snowstorm on the day. The airplanes from Seoul to the Jeju had to return back to the peninsula or to fly with several hours delayed. On the morning of Jan. 16, snow is still falling down in the Gangjeong village. The markets in Gangjeong could not deliver some necessary stuff yesterday. The Gangjeong villagers who break from their relay one man protest in front of the Island Hall (from 8:30 am to 6pm) in the City of Jeju, are making rest in their homes during the weekend. The below is a series of photos of their relay one man protest that started on Jan. 10. ( *Photo credits: Koh Hyun-Joon, Jeju Hwangyung (*means 'environment') Ilbo)
