Six members of the Frontier, an organization that works in the conflict zones in the world stayed in the tent in the Joongduk coast on Jan. 20. They will stay there for several nights more. Some villagers brought some foods and heaters for them. Construction truck has not come until in the morning of the next day. Don’t know when the navy and trucks come again.

The traces of a power shovel yesterday. The navy is told to plan to make a road to the coast for carrying heavy equipment, such as plants that would be put under sea as the beginning process for building navy port, here in Gangjeong village. The power shovel has destroyed the coast about 20~25 meter length on Jan. 20, breaking many rocks along its way.

It was told later that the navy was building electricity within the completed resident buildings for construction workers on Jan. 16. Some villagers have expressed their optimistic idea that the villagers will recover the hill again, taking those buildings as the facility for villagers, such as village people’s hall, children school etc., once they win in the struggle and the navy finally withdraws. It made many people laugh.
