The union workers of the MBC, one of the main broadcasting companies, have been in strike for a month to keep the right of speech. The MBC headquarter of the Pan-Korean Media Union Workers has joined three times in the total strike of the Media Union Workers against the Lee Myung Bak government’s carrying the vicious media law in the snatched way in the National Assembly. * Image source: Save Our MBC
This time, they are doing again against the new president who was designated by the Lee Myung Bak government that expelled the former president of the MBC.

The chair man, Lee Geun-Haeng has been in hunger strike for 11 days on the date of May 6, 2010 while 60 union workers have entered the hunger strike supporting him. His health is known to be deteriorating and many people are supporting the MBC.
The MBC headquarter of the Media Union Workers has announced in its special report for the total strike that, “Let each of us becomes the hard wall to save the MBC so that they(government powers) cannot rule on us.”

Citizens are gathering around the branch building of the MBC, in the City of Jeju, to express their support to the Jeju MBC union workers who are in the strike, as well. Power to the MBC union workers! Power to the citizens!
