Moonsoo, a Buddhist monk immolated against Lee Myung Bak government's drive for four-river project on May 31, 2010. Her immolation shocked not only the religious communities but all the progressive movements in Korea.
Most religious communities and many Korean people have strongly protested against the four-river project that would eventually destroy all the ecology system in the Korean peninsula.
