(* MB means the President Lee Myung Bak who is called as '2MB' (meaning 2 Mega Bites) by his opponents here.)

We denounce a secret renegotiation talk on the ROK-US FTA!

No ROK-US FTA (Free Trade Agreement)!

'Today activists from the KCTU Union as well as members from the Democratic Labor Party staged a spontaneous protest in front of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade in Downtown Seoul.

They protested especially against the secret talks from November 8 between the USA and South Korea about an revised version of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two states - which will give the USA more option of importing goods to South Korea.

They also protested against the current President Lee Myung-bak and the current security situation because of the G20 Summit.

Some activists tried to walk to the nearby US-Embassy but were stopped by a massive police force, including an armored SWAT car.

The protest will continue until the FTA agreement is abandoned says the speaker of the Democratic Labor Party.' (Benjamin Hiller)
