Text Fwd: Objections mount against Jeju naval base plans
____________________________________
Despite the rainy and foggy day, the construction companies did not stop the construction. Two activists prevented the day’s construction by laying their bodies under the cement mixer trucks in the morning of May 9. About 50~100 cement-mixer trucks have been daily entering into construction site for making near 10,000 concrete structures including tetra pods that would destroy the UNESCO protection-designated soft corals and other voiceless creatures in the sea.
Two of them have already gotten the 4th police letters to be investigated by their former actions by May 13, 2011. Song Gang-Ho, a leader of a peace group called the Frontiers have been arrested but released in three hours after the other activists’ demand to the police.
